Description

Screen where the nurse will be able to view the treatment that the provider ordered for the patient, while in the medical office or facility. This screen will be used in conjunction with the “Workflow” screen.


Access


Through "Side Bar": 

  • In the “Advanced Progress Note” screen, go to the buttons on the left and press the “Active Task” button.
    • Button not available? In “Advanced Progress Note / Settings / Side Bar Settings”, select the “Keyword” called “ABG” and place it in the preferred category. Once you save the changes in the “Settings” screen, when you return to the “Advanced Progress Note” screen, you will find the “Active Task” button to access this screen.

Through "Search": 

  • In the “Advanced Progress Note” screen, click on the “Search” button, located at the top left of the screen and select “Active Task”.

A través de "Workflow": 

  • On the “Workflow” screen, press the “More Options” button, located at the bottom of the selected patient in the “Workflow Items” section, and select the “View Clinical Tasks” option.
  • Or, press the “Clinical Tasks” tab, located on the right side of the screen.

Buttons

  • Print Completed Tasks: When pressed, it will display the report of the completed clinical tasks of the selected patient.
  • Mark as Completed: When selected, it will indicate that all clinical tasks have been completed for the patient. A confirmation message will be displayed.
  • Previous: Closes screen. 
  • Add Medication: When pressed, the “Medication Settings” screen will be displayed to add a medication (Note: The “Medication Search” option will be displayed as long as the user has not selected the “Clinical File Clinical Task Use Available Medications Only” option in the “Permissions” screen).


  • Add Order: When pressed, the “Add Orders” screen will be displayed:


  • Add General Task: When pressed, the “General Settings” screen will be displayed to add general instructions and notes to the patient's treatment.


  • Add Procedure: When pressed, the “Select Code” screen will be displayed to add procedures to the patient's treatment.


Active Tasks 

  • Medications: Display of the medications that will be administered to the patient.
  • Orders: Display of the orders to be given to the patient.
  • General Tasks: Display of the general instructions ordered by the provider to the patient.
  • Procedures: Display of the ordered procedures to the patient.
  • Evaluation Notes: Display of the patient evaluation notes.

    

    Patient Summary

  • Chief Complaint: Displays the summary of the patient's chief complaints.
  • Active Medications: Displays the summary of the patient's active medications.
  • Active Allergies: Displays the summary of the patient's active allergies.
  • Vital Signs: Displays the summary of vital signs taken from the patient.


Where will the information be displayed?

There are two areas where the information on this screen will be displayed.

  • Workflow / Task:
    • The nurse will be able to view what is registered in this screen in the “Workflow / Workflow Item” screen, by selecting the patient to whom the clinical tasks were added and pressing the “More Options” button, located at the end of the patient's name, and selecting the “View Clinical Tasks” option.

  • Progress Note Report: Once the nurse performs the clinical tasks on the patient, these tasks can be displayed in the progress note report. For these options to be displayed correctly in the report, they must be configured in the system.
    • Note: For configuration, go to “Settings / General / Staff & Providers” and click on the “PN Report Settings” button, select the “Clinical Tasks” option.
