Description

Allows the user to configure and customize the “Advanced Progress Note” screen. It also allows the user to create patient alerts and view the history of these alerts.


Access


Through Main Menu 

  • From the main menu, press the “Clinical” button.
  • Choose the patient from any section of the “Clinical Records” screen. 
  • Once the patient is selected, press the “Settings” button, located at the top of the “Advanced Progress Note” screen.


 Patient Alerts

  • History: Allows you to view the history of all patient alerts created. By double-clicking on the alert, the alert details will be displayed. 

  • New Alerts: Allows the creation of a patient alert, so that the same user can view it when opening the patient's record again.


Progress Note Custom Configuration

  • Progress Templates Settings: Screen that replaces the “Custom Print Settings” screen and the “Default Progress Note Settings” screen, for the “Templates” configuration, for progress notes. 
  • Allow Enter on Advanced Clinical Evaluation: Selecting this option allows you to press the “Enter” key when documenting in the “Advanced Progress Note” clinical evaluation. 
  • Assessment: Allows you to configure the narrative of the clinical evaluation through “Keywords”.

  • Authorized Orders Settings: Allows nurses to be assigned permission to create orders on behalf of the authorizing provider. 

  • Clinical Evaluation Templates Settings: Allows you to configure the options and their order in the “Clinical Evaluation” section.

  • Evaluation Tags Settings: Allows you to configure the “Tags” used in the “Phrases Editor” screen.

  • Follow Up Settings: Allows to customize follow-up options.

  • Phrases Settings: Allows you to configure the phrases that can be used during the clinical evaluation of the patient.

  • Use closing codes summary values: Allows you to use the code summary values when closing a progress note (they must first be configured in the “Settings / Point Summary Settings” screen).

  • Use Custom Closing Procedures Codes: Allows the display of customized procedures when closing a progress note (they must first be configured in the “Settings / Closing Procedure Settings” screen).

  • Patient Chart Preview:  
  • Keep Selected Print Template: Allows to keep the selected “Print template” for all clinical evaluations. 


Layout Settings 

  • List Sections Settings: Allows configuration in the “Patient Dashboard” section of the “Advanced Progress Note” screen.
  • Filter Custom Evaluation: Allows you to filter the “Custom Evaluation” items.
  • Save Layout: Allows you to save the screen layout format selected by the user.

  • Side Bar Settings: Allows you to configure the buttons to be used during the clinical evaluation of the patient. These are the buttons that are displayed on the left side of the screen.

  • Restore Layout: Allows you to return to the original “Advanced Progress Note” screen layout.

  • Use Sidebar Group Settings: When pressed, the “Side Bar” configuration will be displayed for the selected group. 

  • Confirmation required for closing note: Selecting this option will display a confirmation message when closing a progress note. 


Printout Settings

  • Exclude modifications block printout: When selected, it will delete all modifications made, at the time of printing the progress note. 
  • Print Clinical Evaluation first level as bold: Allows the first level of clinical evaluation to be blackened when printing the progress note.
  • Print Progress Note as Sored List: Allows you to print the “Chief Complaint”, “Present Illness”, “Past History” and “Physical Exam” sections in the progress note in list form. If the same sections are not selected, they will be arranged in paragraph form.
  • Use enhanced syntax: Allows to display the progress note in the form of syntax. 
  • Print Note After Closing: Allows the progress note to be displayed automatically, to be printed once it has been closed.
  • Default Progress Note Title: Allows you to create a “Default” title for the progress note. It will be used for all clinical evaluations. 


Time Stamp Settings 

  • Print with time stamps: When selected, progress notes will be printed with date, time and initials in each section, in order to identify who performed the clinical evaluation.
  • Show Time Stamp Editor: When selected, it allows to display the section, to edit the date and time of the evaluation, for each section. 
  • Show Time Stamps: When selected, it displays the initials, date and time in the “Clinical Evaluation” section.
