Description

This menu provides access to modify the configuration of the Advanced Progress Note screen and to create or view the history of patient alerts.


Access


Through Main Menu 

  • Click on the Clinical button, in main menu. 
  • Select patient from any of the Clinical Records screen sections. 
  • Once patient is selected, click on the Settings button, located at the top of screen, in the Advanced Progress Note.


 Patient Alerts

  • History: Double click on any listed alert to view the message.

  • New Alerts: Allows to create a patient alert, so that the same user can view it, when they open the patient's record again.


Progress Note Custom Configuration

  • Progress Templates Settings: Screen that replaces the Custom Print Settings screen and the Default Progress Note Settings screen, for the Templates configuration, to use in progress notes. 
  • Allow Enter on Advanced Clinical Evaluation: By selecting this option, allows to press the Enter key, when documenting in the clinical evaluation of the Advanced Progress Note.  
  • Assessment: Allows to configure the narrative of the clinical evaluation through "Keywords". 

  • Authorized Orders Settings: Authorize other users (i.e. nurses or PA's), to create orders on your behalf (Lab, X-Ray, etc.).

  • Clinical Evaluation Templates Settings: Configure the data elements to be included in the Clinical Evaluation view.

  • Evaluation Tags Settings: Configure the categories Tags, to be used in the Phrases Editor.

  • Follow Up Settings: Customize follow-up options.

  • Phrases Settings: Configure routinely used phrases, during clinical evaluations of patients.

  • Use closing codes summary values: Allows to use the closing codes values, when closing a progress note.  (Before, they must be configured, in the Settings / Point Summary Settings screen.) 

  • Use Custom Closing Procedures Codes: Allows to display the custom closed procedures, when closing the progress note. (They must first be configured, in the Settings / Closing Procedure Settings screen).

  • Patient Chart Preview:  
  • Keep Selected Print Template: Allows to keep the selected Print Template, for all clinical evaluations.    


Layout Settings 

List Sections Settings: Configure the sections you wish to have access, on the Advanced Progress Note screen.

  • Filter Custom Evaluation: Allows to filter the Custom Evaluation items.
  • Save Layout: Allows to save the layout format selected by user.

  • Side Bar Settings: Configure the desires documentation areas or clinical evaluation options, to be available on the Side Bar.  

  • Restore Layout: Restores the default layout of the screen.  Any custom changes will be removed.

  • Use Sidebar Group Settings: By selecting this option, will display the the configured the group side bar.  

  • Confirmation required for closing note: Selecting this option, will display a confirmation message when closing a progress note. 


Printout Settings

  • Exclude modifications block printout: By selecting this option, all modifications will be excluded in progress note. 
  • Print Clinical Evaluation first level as bold: The clinical evaluation first level, will be displayed in bold, in the progress note. 
  • Print Progress Note as Sored List: When checked, it allows selections made in the clinical evaluation areas: Chief Complaint, Present Illness, Past History or Physical Exam, to be printed in Bullets formats, as opposed to a narrative style. 
  • Use enhanced syntax: By selecting this option, allows to display the progress note, in a syntax form. 
  • Print Note After Closing: Allows to print automatically the progress note, when closing progress note.
  • Default Progress Note Title: Allows user to write a custom progress note title. Must have the enabled check box selected, in order to display the title.


Time Stamp Settings 

  • Print with time stamps: By selecting this option, the user, date and hour will be displayed, in the printed progress note. 
  • Show Time Stamp Editor: By selecting this option, the users initials will be displayed, in progress note.
  • Show Time Stamps: By selecting this option, the users initials and date, will be displayed in the Clinical Evaluation section.
