Description

Screen for recording patient's vaccine administration information.


Access 


Through the Side Bar section: To access the immunizations section, click on the 'Immunizations' button located on the Side Bar of the Progress Note screen. If the 'Immunizations' button is not visible, click on the 'Settings' button on the toolbar of the Progress Note screen, then choose 'Side Bar Settings'. Next, find the 'Immunizations' item in the available items area on the right side of the screen and drag it into the items window on the lower left corner of any Side Bar category. Finally, click the 'Save' button to apply the changes. The Side Bar will update, and the 'Immunizations' button will now be displayed under the category where you placed it.

Through the Search section: Click on the Search button located on the left side of the screen, then choose either the Immunizations or the Add Allergies button.

Through the Patient Dashboard section: To access immunizations, click the immunizations link in the Patient Dashboard, or click the More button and choose either Add Immunizations or Open Full Page.


Sections


Buttons

  • PR Certificate: Allows to print the patient's immunization certificate. 
  • Print: Allows to print the patient's administered immunizations.
  • Deactivate: To deactivate the selected immunization entry, click on the immunization you wish to deactivate, then select the 'Remove' or 'Delete' option to confirm the action.
  • Add: Allows to add a patient's immunization. 
  • Edit: Allows to edit a selected immunization. 
  • Previous: Returns to previous screen.
  • Filters: Display options include Show Active, Show Removed or Show All.


Tabs

  • Child and Adolescent Immunizations ScheduleThe recommended vaccination schedule for children and adolescents is organized by age groups, starting from birth up to 15 months, and continuing from 18 months through 18 years.
  • Adult Immunization Schedule: The recommended schedule for adult vaccine administration, applicable to individuals aged 19 years and older, is available for reference. 
  • History: The system presents the patient's immunization record, detailing the vaccines administered. It allows for display of active vaccines, those that are discontinued, or a comprehensive view of all vaccines. 

Legend (bottom of the screen): Shows the legend of what each color means on the vaccine screen. 

  • Child and Adolescente Immunization Schedule:
    • Yellow: Recommended ages for all children. 
    • Green: Recommended age range for recovery vaccines. 
    • Purple: Recommended age range for certain high-risk groups. 
    • Blue: Recommended as clinical decision-making actions or can be used in this age group.
    • Grey: No recommendation / Not applicable. 
  • Adult Immunization Schedule 
    • Yellow: Vaccines recommended for adults include those who meet age requirements, are without vaccination documentation, or have no evidence of past infection.
    • Purple: Recommended vaccines for adults with additional risk factors or other indications.
    • Blue: Vaccines recommended based on shared clinical decision-making.

Add / Edit Screen


Vaccine Selection: In this section, you can view the vaccines that have been previously configured in the Settings / Clinical / Immunizations screen.

  • Common Pediatrics: Shows the commonly administered pediatric vaccines as previously set up.
  • Common Adult: Displays the commonly configured vaccines for adult patients.
  • Office Inventory: Displays the vaccines for the office or emergency room as previously configured.
  • Groups: Display all vaccines categorized by groups.
  • Show empty CPT Vaccines: When selecting, displays vaccines that do not contain a CPT code. 
    • Include Non-Vaccines: When making a selection, it shows products that are not categorized as vaccines.

Detail: This section provides fundamental details on vaccine administration.

  • Vaccine: The Vaccines Selection section displays the chosen vaccine.
  • Dosage: Register the administered dose.  
  • Units: Document the unit measurements for the administered vaccines.
  • Date Given: The date and time are set to auto-populate. If they do not reflect the current day, you have the option to adjust either or both.
  • Date Ended: Choose the date when the vaccine was completed.
  • Route: Choose the method of vaccine administration.
  • Site: Choose the vaccination site.
  • Inventory: The display shows the office or emergency room information as configured in the Settings / Clinical / Immunizations screen.

By: This section outlines the individual who ordered and administered the vaccine, among other details.

  • Order By: Identify the user who placed the vaccine order.
  • Administered By: Choose the individual who administered the vaccine.
  • Register By: Display the user who registered for the vaccine.
  • Notes: Area for recording relevant information pertaining to the administered vaccine.

More Information

  • Information Source: It is utilized to document the source of information regarding the administered vaccine.
    • Note: The 'New Immunization Record' option will be the default value. If the user wishes to save a patient's vaccine information, they must specify the source of this information.
  • Administration Status: Identify the status of the administration.
    • Note: The 'Administered' option will be selected as the default value. Please choose the other options based on the specific case:
      • Refusal: Choose this option if the parents refuse to administer the vaccine.
      • Disease with presumed immunity: Select this option if you have not been vaccinated due to a medical disorder. Choosing this option will require completion of the Evidence of Immunity field.
      • Other: Select this option for any other reason.
  • VFC (Vaccines for Children) Eligibility Status: Determines eligibility for pediatric vaccine status.
