Screen used to configure clinical alerts.

Access

From the Settings module, click on Clinical then click on the Clinical Decision Support option.


Sections

  • Buttons
    • Show Inactive / Active:  Display active or inactive alerts.
    • New
    • Edit
    • Deactivate
    • Previous: Return to the previous screen.
  • Data Grid: Displays alerts.

Add / Edit Screen


  • Type: Alert type
    • Labs
    • Vaccine
    • Miscellaneous
    • Medications
    • Allergies
    • Demographic
    • Combo
    • Problem
    • Procedure
  • Description: Name of alert
  • Every (Always, Days, Weeks, Months, Years): Specify trigger period.
  • Available for: User group(s) required to trigger the alert. 
  • Selection: This field enables depending on the type of alert being created. For example:
    • For Labs alert types, a double click on this field opens the lab code search. 
  • Option Alerts
    • For Gender: Both, Male, Female.
    • Pregnant: Alert will only apply to pregnant women.
    • Between: Specify age range (between (#) and (#)), hours, days, weeks, months or years.
  • Alerts / Contraindications / Reactions: Message to display upon triggering alert.
  • Reference Materials Available for: Identifies the user groups that can access reference materials for the alert.
  • Reference: Reference data normally included in clinical guidelines
  • Clinical Guideline: Reference data normally included in clinical guidelines
  • Bibliographic Citation: Reference data normally included in clinical guidelines
  • Intervention Developer: Reference data normally included in clinical guidelines
  • Funding Source: Reference data normally included in clinical guidelines
  • Vital Signs
  • Citation Release Date
    • Release Date: Reference data normally included in clinical guidelines
    • Revision Date: Reference data normally included in clinical guidelines
  • Tabs
    • Diagnosis: Use a diagnosis to trigger the alert
    • Medication: Use medication as trigger.
    • Laboratory Result: Use specific lab results.
    • Allergies: Use allergies
    • Links: Add hyperlinks to web pages with additional information.
