There are several options to create appointments for current patients.


Option #1

  • Go to the Appointments screen. 
  • Note: If any provider does not appear in the list, check the Accepts Appointments option in the Staff & Providers screen of same provider.
  • Click twice over the hour you wish to add the appointment.


  • The Appointment Detail screen, will be displayed:
  • On the Patient field, write the patient's name, last name or record number. The patients list will be displayed, in the same order as entered in the system.


  • Based on the search result, select the patient from the list.


  • Select the appointment type, in the Type field. 
    • Note: To configure the options in this section, go to Appointment / Settings and press the Appt. Types button. Once option is added, remember to exit the Appointment screen and open again to display the selected new option.
  • Modify date if necessary.


  • Identify the patients location, in the Appointment Detail screen. This allows to monitor the time patient has been in each observation room.
    • Note: Go to Appointment / Settings to configure the options and press the Rooms button. Once option is added, remember to exit the Appointment screen and open again to display the selected new option.
  • User can write an appointment or patient note.  


  • In order to indicate the patient arrived, select the Arrived At section. 


  • Click on the Save & Close button, to store the appointment. 
  • Click on the Cancel button, to cancel appointment. 
  • If patient has future appointments, they will be displayed in the Scheduled Appointments section.   


Option #2

  • Select the appointment date.
  • Select the appointment time and press the right mouse button, above the appointment time.
  • Select the New Appointment option. Or press Ctrl+N on your keyboard.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • In the Patient field, search for the patient through the patient's first name, last name, record number, social security, contract number, or phone number. The patients will be reflected, in the order of letters entered in the system.


  • Based on the search result, select the patient from the list.


  • Select the appointment type, in the Type field. 
  • Note: To configure the options in this section, you will need to go to Appointment / Settings and press the Appt button. Types". Once you add the option, you must exit the Appointments screen and enter again, so that the new option appears.


  • If necessary, change the date.  
  • On the Appointment Detail screen, identify the location of the patient. This allows to verify the time that the patient was, in each evaluation room.


  • Note: To configure the options in this section, you will need to go to Appointment / Settings and press the Rooms button. Once you add the option, you must exit the Appointments screen and enter again, so that the new option appears.
  • Write a note related to the patient's appointment, in the Appointments Notes section. (This note is only visible on the Appointments screen.)
  • In the same way, you can write a note related to the patient, in the Patient Notes section. (You can see this note, from the Patient Details screen. If the existing patient, already has a note on the Patient Details screen, the note will automatically be displayed, in the Patient Notes section and vice versa.)


  • To indicate that the patient arrived, select the Arrived At option. It will automatically display the time the patient arrived.


  • Click on the Save & Close button, to save the appointment.
  • Click on the Cancel button, to cancel the appointment.
  • If the patient has future appointments, they will be displayed, in the Scheduled Appointments section.


Option #3 (Via Progress Note)

  • Go to the progress note of the selected patient. 


  • Click on the Next Appointments link, located at the top of the screen.


  • The following screen, will be displayed:


  • Press the Go to Appointments link, located on the right side of the screen.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Double-click on the time you want to create the appointment, for the existing patient.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • In the Type field, select the appointment type from the options. 
  • Note: To configure the options in this section, you will need to go to Appointment / Settings and press the Appt button. Types". Once you add the option, you must exit the Appointments screen and enter again, so that the new option appears. 
  • If necessary, change the date.  


  • On the Appointment Detail screen, identify the location of the patient. This allows to verify the time that the patient was, in each evaluation room.

  • Click on the Save & Close button, to save the appointment.

Option #4 (Via Patient Details)

  • Go to the Patient Details screen.
  • Click on the Appointments button, located at the top of the screen.


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • Double-click on the time you want to create the appointment, for the existing patient


  • The following screen will be displayed:


  • In the Type field, select the appointment type from the options.
  • Note: To configure the options in this section, you will need to go to Appointment / Settings and press the Appt button. Types". Once you add the option, you must exit the Appointments screen and enter again, so that the new option appears.
  • If necessary, change the date.
