Description

Screen used to create printed or electronic medication prescriptions. 


Access 


Through the Side Bar section: Click on the Drug Prescription button on the Side Bar of the Progress Note screen. Can't find the Drug Prescription buttonClick on Settings button on the toolbar of the Progress Note screen, Select the Side Bar Settings option. Select the Medication History item from the available items area on the right side of the screen and drag/drop into the items window on the lower left corner of any Side Bar category. Press the Save button in order to store the change. The Side Bar panel will refresh and the button will appear under the category where it was added.

Through the Search section: Click on theSearch button located at the left side of screen and then select the Drug Prescription button.

Through the Patient Dashboard section: Click on the Medication List link located in the Patient Dashboard and then click on the New Rx button or click on theAdd button and select the New Prescription option.

Through the Clinical Evaluation section: Click on the Medications link, located in the Advanced Progress Note or press the More button locate in the same section.


Sections


Offices: Allows to selects the office that will create the prescription. 


Buttons

  • Pharmacies: Opens pharmacy search options.


  • Save As: Once the medication is selected, allows to create a Template for the prescription. 
  • Drug Search: Displays the Search Medication screen. 
  • Add: By pressing this button, the Search Medication screen will be displayed in order to select medications.
  • Send eRx: Allows to send electronic prescription. 
    • Note: In order to see the receipt status, user must go to the Medications screen on the Prescription History by Medication section and see the Status column. 
  • Send + Notify: Allows to send and notify patient. 
  • Print + Close: Prints the prescription and closes screen. 
  • Save + Close: Stores prescription and closes screen. 
    • Note: Stored prescriptions can be accessed via the methods below:

      • Click on the View Orders button on the tool bar of the Clinical Records screen.
      • Click on the Orders button on the tool bar of the Appointments screen. 
  • Cancel: Exits the screen. 

Tabs (Located at the right side of screen)

  • Patient Chart: By pressing this tab, the patient section  will be displayed showing the patients active allergies, adding selected medications, displays the patients medications history and also can view the patients prescription history.

                                                                                                                                         

  • Templates: Area where user can add a full medication template, either users templates, groups templates or all templates.

                                                                                                                                          

  • Frequent Drugs: Area where the providers frequent medication are displayed.

                                                                                                                                             


  • Sections of Center Screen
  • Add Any Drug / Dose From Search: By pressing this button the Search Medication screen will be displayed. 
  • Add with only Clicks from Your Favorites: By pressing this button the Frequent Medications tab located at the right side of screen will be displayed. 
  • Add a full medication template: By pressing this button the Templates tab located at the right side of screen will be displayed.
  • Try Different Dose or Brand from History Medications: By pressing this button the Patient Chart located at the right side of screen.
