Provides additional information for a specific drug and provides education handouts, among other functionality.


Access 


Through the Side Bar section: Click on the Medication History button on the Side Bar of the Progress Note screen. Then click on the More button located on the screen toolbar and select the Reference option. Can't find the Medication History buttonClick on Settings button on the toolbar of the Progress Note screen, Select the Side Bar Settings option. Select the Medication History item from the available items area on the right side of the screen and drag/drop into the items window on the lower left corner of any Side Bar category. Press the Save button in order to store the change. The Side Bar panel will refresh and the button will appear under the category where it was added.

Through the Search section: Click on theSearch button located at the left side of screen and then select the Medication History button. Then click on the More button located on the screen toolbar and select the Reference option.

Through the Patient Dashboard section: Click on the Medication List link located in the Patient Dashboard or click on the More button and select the Open Full Page option. Then click on the More located on the screen toolbar and select the Adm  button and select the Reference option.

Buttons

  • Print: Print the selected document. They user can select between: English Handout, Spanish Handout, Dosage Text, Pregnancy Nursing Warnings and Warnings.
  • Close:
  • Go to Drugs.com (link): Opens www.drugs.com for the selected medication.
  • Previous: Returns to the previous screen.
  • Select All:
  • English (Handout)


  • Spanish (Handout)


  • Dosage Text: Depending on the selected medication, the screen displays dosage information for adult, pediatric or geriatric patients.


  • Dosage Calculator: Provides information based on age, weight, gender and other health related information.


  • Pregnancy Nursing Warnings: Displays  additional information of medications to pregnant patients, nurse feeding or have other conditions.
  • Warnings: General warnings.
